Pennsylvania Dutch Favorites

Every dish made from scratch in our kitchen, the way it has been done here for decades. These are the plates people drive miles along the I-81 corridor to find.

Homemade Pot Pie

Thick, square egg noodles simmered in rich chicken broth with tender pulled chicken and potatoes. A true Pennsylvania Dutch tradition, served in generous bowls the way grandmothers in Schuylkill County have always made it.

Smoked Pork Chops

Double-cut chops, hickory-smoked and grilled until caramelized at the edges. Served with your choice of two hearty sides. One bite and you will understand why regulars have been ordering these since the 1970s.

Turkey Croquettes

Hand-formed with seasoned turkey, lightly breaded, and fried golden. Topped with our house-made gravy. A Dutch Kitchen original you will not find anywhere else along Route 61.

Shoofly Pie

Wet-bottom, molasses-rich, with a crumb topping baked until just set. Our recipe goes back to the diner's earliest days. Save room, or better yet, order a whole pie to take home.

A Frackville Landmark Since 1959

It started as a gleaming Silk City Diner, one of those stainless-steel beauties that defined roadside America. In 1971, the Fasnacht family took over the griddle, and the Dutch Kitchen became the place where Schuylkill County comes to eat.

Three generations later, the same commitment holds: real Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, honest portions, and the kind of welcome that turns first-time visitors into lifelong regulars. Jane and Michael Stern featured us in their legendary Roadfood guide, calling it a must-stop along the I-81 corridor.
